Delirium by Lauren Oliver

Synopsis:
Ninety-five days, and then I'll be safe. I wonder whether the procedure will hurt. I want to get it over with. It's hard to be patient. It's hard not to be afraid while I'm still uncured, though so far the deliria hasn't touched me yet. Still, I worry. They say that in the old days, love drove people to madness. The deadliest of all deadly things: It kills you both when you have it and when you don't.
Review:
400- 500 Pages/Paperback
I gave this book, 3 stars.

The story is well written, but i think that there are things that are not well explained in this book.
This book is more of the Deliria, and Lena finding for the guy she will soon be marrying. And also Lena, finding out that her mother is still alive.
It is a struggle for me finishing the book because there are downs and ups of the book that made me want not to finish it, but then, I just finish it anyways.
I'm still looking forward in finishing the next two books of the Delirium series so that I can understand what is really is missing.

Eleanor and Park

Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell
Synopsis:
Two misfits.
One extraordinary love.

Eleanor
... Red hair, wrong clothes. Standing behind him until he turns his head. Lying beside him until he wakes up. Making everyone else seem drabber and flatter and never good enough...Eleanor.

Park... He knows she'll love a song before he plays it for her. He laughs at her jokes before she ever gets to the punch line. There's a place on his chest, just below his throat, that makes her want to keep promises...Park.

Set over the course of one school year, this is the story of two star-crossed sixteen-year-olds—smart enough to know that first love almost never lasts, but brave and desperate enough to try.

Review:
328 pages-Paperback
I got mine on e-book/kobo
I give this book, 4 stars

Even though being bullied in school by the people around her, Eleanor did her best to do things that can make her stronger, meet other people and make her feel not alone. She met, Park that she know she can tell her secrets and the things that they are passionate about. I love the way they fell in love with each other, and how they can't last a day without each other.

Anna and the French Kiss

Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
Synopsis:

Anna is looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. Which is why she is less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris--until she meets Étienne St. Clair. Smart, charming, beautiful, Étienne has it all...including a serious girlfriend.

But in the City of Light, wishes have a way of coming true. Will a year of romantic near-misses end with their long-awaited French kiss?

Review:

A fast paced, easy read 300+ pages Young Adult Contemporary Book which also consist of romance and a bit of school life.

Anna is a strong person in this book, thinking she really wants to stay in Atlanta to finish her studies for her high school life rather than being away because of her family specially her younger brother which she can't leave behind. Even though this is her situation, her father insisted her of finishing her high school in School of America in Paris (SOAP).She knew that this is hard for her, adjusting and knowing that most of the people around her would be able to at least know how to speak french words and her, knowing just some of the foods there. She met this guy St. Clair, a hottie which is taken by her friend. they always hang out with St Clair's girlfriend but it is fine. They watch films and do some reviews for it for just their own sake.

I like the setting of the book, it took place at Paris, France. The author did describe a lot about the foods that Paris is known about. The school is great and how normal students act and hang out after school is also discussed and described by the author. The ending is not so good, but St. Clair and Anna at least knew that they felt the same way for each other.

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer Smith
Genre: Young Adult, Contemporary, Romance

Synopsis:

Who would have guessed that four minutes could change everything?

Today should be one of the worst days of seventeen-year-old Hadley Sullivan's life. Having missed her flight, she's stuck at JFK airport and late to her father's second wedding, which is taking place in London and involves a soon-to-be stepmother Hadley's never even met. Then she meets the perfect boy in the airport's cramped waiting area. His name is Oliver, he's British, and he's sitting in her row.

A long night on the plane passes in the blink of an eye, and Hadley and Oliver lose track of each other in the airport chaos upon arrival. Can fate intervene to bring them together once more?

Quirks of timing play out in this romantic and cinematic novel about family connections, second chances, and first loves. Set over a twenty-four-hour-period, Hadley and Oliver's story will make you believe that true love finds you when you're least expecting it.

Review:

A short read, around 300 + pages that can be readable within a day.
I'm disappointed about the book. upon reading it, I was like, uhuh.. okay.. okay. they met in the waiting area of the JFK airport. She was attending a wedding of her father she don't want because she don't even know who her father's gonna marry. okay. and this boy, Oliver will be going to the funeral of his father. nothing is so special on this book. After over hearing/ eavesdropping on this girl on her father's wedding to her father's visitor that their old colleague died, and lives on that place that Oliver also is going, she never think twice but go in the place. Because of that, I really wanted to change the title and not the probability of love at first sight. I know the title is catchy, the cover of the book is catchy but the story. nah. The story is also limited, regarding to the setting, the Wedding, the funeral. the airport. I really wanted more from this book.

The book is more of the wedding and the funeral, less the love story of Oliver and Hadley.

The Fault in our Stars by John Green Review

The Fault in our Stars by John Green

Characters:
Hazel Grace Lancaster
Augustus Waters
Isaac
Peter Van Houten

Plot:
Hazel Grace is diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Because of her cancer, she is afraid of going out. One day, her mother told her to get up out of her bed and go to a support group to reduce her depression. Hazel Grace agreed to this and thought that she can actually meet friends and will never be bored again reading the same book "An Imperial Affliction". At the support group, Hazel Grace met this guy named Augustus Waters, who is suffering from bone cancer and is amputated on the left leg so that his cancer wont go all over his body. The two of them got closer, Hazel Grace dared Augustus to read her favorite book, An Imperial Affliction. He accepted the dare as well. After each session of the Support Group meeting, they will hang out. They play videos games at Augustus' house, there, Hazel met Isaac, Augustus' best friend. Isaac always wants to play a video game to a point that he can memorize the game, unluckily, his cancer can make him blind. Upon Augustus' finishing of the book, An Imperial Affliction, he asks Hazel Grace if Anna, the protagonist of the book, lived or died but then Hazel Grace said she didn't know the answer, so thinking about the answer, Augustus mailed the author Peter Van Houten who lives in Amsterdam. Peter never replied to their mails so they decided to just find them.. They know it is hard, specially to Hazel Grace because of her condition, needing oxygen tanks to travel and is heavy. Even though, they traveled to Amsterdam. They forced Peter to answer them but he never answered even though they already gone to his place. after their journey, Augustus died, then Peter mailed Hazel about Augustus and the ending of the An Imperial Affliction.

Review:
The Fault In Our Stars is not a new story for me because it is relate able, teen agers with sickness/ suffering from disease can have another chance, to love, etc. What I really loved about the book is the travel around Amsterdam, the date in the canal tunnel, the floating restaurants, etc. because it made me wonder what it is around the world without leaving my house at all. I know that it is never an happy ending since both of them is sick, suffering from cancer and any moment, one can die. What i hate is the ending because it is an open ending because the readers never know what it really is, did Hazel died? Is she alive? What is it? I'm thinking that this book should at least have another book, a sequel or another chapter for us readers just to understand what it is really that happened to her.
