The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer Smith
Genre: Young Adult, Contemporary, Romance

Synopsis:

Who would have guessed that four minutes could change everything?

Today should be one of the worst days of seventeen-year-old Hadley Sullivan's life. Having missed her flight, she's stuck at JFK airport and late to her father's second wedding, which is taking place in London and involves a soon-to-be stepmother Hadley's never even met. Then she meets the perfect boy in the airport's cramped waiting area. His name is Oliver, he's British, and he's sitting in her row.

A long night on the plane passes in the blink of an eye, and Hadley and Oliver lose track of each other in the airport chaos upon arrival. Can fate intervene to bring them together once more?

Quirks of timing play out in this romantic and cinematic novel about family connections, second chances, and first loves. Set over a twenty-four-hour-period, Hadley and Oliver's story will make you believe that true love finds you when you're least expecting it.

Review:

A short read, around 300 + pages that can be readable within a day.
I'm disappointed about the book. upon reading it, I was like, uhuh.. okay.. okay. they met in the waiting area of the JFK airport. She was attending a wedding of her father she don't want because she don't even know who her father's gonna marry. okay. and this boy, Oliver will be going to the funeral of his father. nothing is so special on this book. After over hearing/ eavesdropping on this girl on her father's wedding to her father's visitor that their old colleague died, and lives on that place that Oliver also is going, she never think twice but go in the place. Because of that, I really wanted to change the title and not the probability of love at first sight. I know the title is catchy, the cover of the book is catchy but the story. nah. The story is also limited, regarding to the setting, the Wedding, the funeral. the airport. I really wanted more from this book.

The book is more of the wedding and the funeral, less the love story of Oliver and Hadley.
